FAQ's and Glossary for Webitseo

FAQ

1. Can you guarantee me a top listing in SERP's?

In a word, no. No web designer or SEO expert can gurantee a high ranking in SERP's. Webitseo does not make false represenations about the results you will get with SEO.

2. Then what's the point of SEO?

SEO is very important in getting a high listing in SERP's. It involves many factors that help establish your presence on the internet. When done properly, your site establishes "authority" on the net and has greater weight with search engines. Implementing SEO techniques adds tremendous value to your site and greatly increases the likelihood of higher listing in SERP's.

3. Why should I trust you over the "big dogs" in large companies?

Because I know what I'm doing. I have studied this topic extensively and have solid expertise in this area. The internet is obviously a very important medium for business and communication. Most business owners want that coveted number 1 listing in searches, but many small business owners just don't have an adequate budget to employ the services of a large design house. The good news is, there's no need to pay exorbitant fees. The goal at Webitseo isn't to gouge customers' wallets but to offer a good service at a fair price.

4. How long will it take to get high a high SERP?

In the good old days of SEO, it was fairly easy to get a reasonably high listing in SERP's fairly quickly. SEO was pretty straight forward, and plenty of dodgy web designers abused these straight forward methods by using "black hat" techniques to get high rankings. For instance, I once did a search for "White House" and a pornography site showed up at the top of the list! Google wisened up to this blatant manipulation of the search engines and implemented new algorithms to assess the content and value of a site. Recently, yet another new algorithm was implemented that requires websites to not only follow approved practices, but to prove their merit over time. So getting results is more difficult and takes longer than it used to. This is all the more reason to employ SEO on your website.

5. Can you "freshen up" an existing site?

I have done many re-writes of sites. Depending on the changes you want, this can be a fairly simple process or a very complicated one. Depending on how well or poorly your markup is written, your site may need to be scrapped and rewritten from the ground up. Pricing for re-writes will be decided on a case-by-case basis. Please refer to the Fees page for general pricing.

6. My writing skills aren't very good. Is this a problem?

Not at all. I do copy editing to ensure proper sentence structure, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. I will thoroughly discuss your business with you, and do research if necessary, in order to provide your site with rich, relevant, and informative content.

7. Can you use my graphics?

Yes. Your graphics, fonts, images and other information can be used to personalise your site.

8. I want to set up an adult website. Are you comfortble with that?

As long as your site fits within the guidelines of our terms, I have no problem doing adult website design. My job isn't to judge you but to provide you with a service. I engage with all customers in a professional, courteous manner.

9. I need photos for my site. Can you help me?

Yes. I employ the services of MPF Enterprise, which offer professional photograpy services, ranging from portraits, product photos for catalogues, and adult photography. MPF is female owned and managed.

10. Do I have to have an existing domain name to use your services?

No. Webitseo can help get you set up from square one, from formulating a domain name, to purchasing it, hosting it, and of course, developing your website.

11. All this blogging, RSS, and social media stuff baffles me. Is it really necessary to use them?

As the internet grows, the way people use the internet and access information changes at a continuous and head-spinning rate. As a business owner, you may not understand or like these new developments, but if you want to remain competetive in a growing sea of information and competitors, it's imperative that you employ the most up-to-date internet marketing strategies available. The internet offers amazing opportunities to promote your product or service. You can take advantage of the rich pool of resources available, or be left in the dust by your more progressive competitors.
